At 11:30 p.m. I realized that this book is as good as I can make it. I have, as I've said, no idea what level of quality that is.
If I do this next year, I'm going in with an outline. Of the three years, this was, by far the closest I've come to giving up. Happily, I got a burst in home stretch when everything became clear plotwise.
